The Backstory
The Mason Firm was born from the vision of an immigrant woman who refused to let barriers define her path. Eldonie S. Mason always dreamed of becoming a lawyer in America — and she made that dream a reality through persistence, discipline, and purpose.
She began her legal career as a litigator in South Florida, representing personal injury clients and taking on insurance companies in court. While she gained valuable trial experience, something was missing — her passion for entertainment and business law was calling.
So, like many artists and dreamers before her, Eldonie packed her bags and headed to New York City, believing that if she could make it there, she could make it anywhere.
What she found, however, was a legal market filled with barriers — especially for those trying to break into entertainment law. She met countless creatives, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who were operating without legal protection, signing handshake deals, and getting taken advantage of even when represented.
Eldonie saw the gap — and decided to fill it. She didn’t want to be just another lawyer billing hours and pushing paper. She wanted to be a trusted advisor — someone who knew her clients, understood their dreams, and protected their interests as if they were her own.
